Description
In Canada, Construction & Design materials are among the largest municipal solid waste. This project uses salvaged building components such as doors, windows, cabinets as well as picture frames. It addresses the School of Interior Design’s lobby area, by creating a double-height space with a feature wall and ceiling installation. The installation displays doors and frames in a fan-like form, serving as a gallery of different building elements with varying materials, and sizes. The installation could also be installed in other areas, oriented horizontally, with each component moveable, offering a showroom-like quality.
